Anyone getting a bit tired of Gemma Arterton yet? No, no, no, she's way too pretty for that to happen! Yahoo has debuted the trailer for Stephen Frears' Tamara Drewe, a British comedy starring Gemma Arterton based on a comic strip in the UK. I unfortunately missed this at Cannes even though I heard it was a funny, entertaining comedy. It looks pretty good, something that any writers out there will definitely get a kick out of. Plus, I don't think many people would turn down watching a kinky Gemma Arterton messing with the whole village, right? Anyway, I'm sure I've said enough to get you to watch this trailer, so check it out below.

A young newspaper writer (Gemma Arterton) returns to her childhood home in the English countryside.
Tamara Drewe is directed by Oscar nominated British filmmaker Stephen Frears, of many great films like Dangerous Liaisons, The Grifters, Mary Reilly, High Fidelity, Dirty Pretty Things, The Queen and Chéri most recently. The screenplay was written by Moira Buffini (The Enlightenment) and was based on a comic strip series (as a graphic novel) by Posy Simmonds first published in 2005 by The Guardian. Sony Pictures Classics is bringing Tamara Drewe to limited theaters starting October 8th this fall. Anyone want to see it?

i'm not afraid to say it - gemma arterton is over-rated in both acting and looks. that being said - i didn't like the trailer. and it has nothing to do with GA. my problem is the story seems threadbare and none of the characters seem to have any depth at all. the jokes aren't funny and..........well - i really think this movie is gonna be a stinker.

Arterton=massive hotness! As for the movie, well the trailer wasn't all too good, but as #2 said her hindquaters were a sight to behold! i'll wait until another trailer comes out before passing any harsh judgement.

gemma aterton may be gorgeous but the movie looks, well, slutty. why does sony classics have to always have sex and terrible plot lines? no, thanks. this is one i won't be seeing.

so julie can women not be players? I find it funny that when a guy in a film was a million conquests he's a player, but a girl has more than one she's an all out slut. fucked up double standard.

i find it degrading and humiliating, XERXES, that hollywood shows almost every woman like that nowadays. i don't find it very gratifying for guys either. it just sucks that when guys sees one woman like that they expect every woman to be like that. BOTH standards suck. i don't have anything against anybody in the movie - the story is just terrible.

Ah I think I'm immune to hollyweird's ploys to make me assume that women are simply here for my pleasure. Ever since I read about Joan of Arc I've had respect for women for a long time. p.s. There is an X at the end. lol.

Xerxex, a wise man once said "don't hate the player, hate the game". It is what it is, I'm afraid. That said, this trailer was not very good. But GA is a bad bitch.

This trailer didn't inspire me to want to see it all that much. It was a little flat to me. But then I've had trailers that made me want to see the movie only to be disappointed when I did. I'll wait for another trailer but it's a gamble most of the time anyways.

was everybody there single??? was there massive cheating going on? it just seemed to me that everybody was sleeping with everyone...hetrosexually speaking...not just GA. so, don't just focus on the women alone. Xerxex, u're in the hot seat this time...even to the point where someone is trying to point out the correct spelling of the name you created to be...it's ok. they'll sleep on it and in the morning, everything is fine and dandy.

Chilin the problem is the internet name I use is too close to Xerxes when if fact it has nothing to do with 300 at all. I mean you didn't ask for a history on the name I use but you'll get one anyways. I was amazed that the "X" sounds makes "Z" sound when used at the beginning of a name, its a little thing I know but its still pretty cool, made the name up my Sophomore year of highschool been using it ever since. Its not a name I use in real life, only in the internet world. I'm not afraid to be in the "hot seat" I'm used to it.

I enjoyed the trailer... but something about it doesn't click or make sense... maybe it's the fact that there's OLD PEOPLE jonesing over a young girl and getting away with it.

She was great in Tess of the D'Urbervilles. The trailer looks ok, hopefully the movie is better.
